About Creotech

Creotech Instruments S.A. was established in 2012. Since 2014, the shareholder of the company is Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu, a state-owned company. Creotech provides advanced solutions for several branches of the global economy. The most important area of ​​activity is the space sector and wide cooperation in the terrestrial and aviation segment, including with the European Space Agency as well as with commercial recipients. Other important areas of activity are measurement electronics systems for international research centers (including CERN and DESY), as well as measurement systems controlling quantum processes (including quantum computers).

Creotech is also present with its solutions on the market of unmanned flying systems, where it provides devices and software, including to supervise the movement of drones. The company has its own electronics production plants, small satellite integration facilities, certificates needed to conduct production for research centers and ESA. In addition to the production of electronics for its own solutions, it produces for the electromobility market, the medical market and the security sector.

First – small clean-room build

2013

PROBA-3

  • Creotech is becoming a part of the consortium for PROBA-3
  • We are responsible for delivery of parts of the on-board computer, assembly and parts of the EGSE.
  • Project is on-going , mission planned for 2022

ASIM

  • ASIM – ESA project for monitoring of the upper atmosphere phenomena
  • Assembly of 64 boards for ASIM project
  • From April 2018 experiment is working on International Space Station
2014

OPS-SAT

  • Creotech is becoming a part of the consortium for OPS-SAT
  • We were responsible for delivering software for CCSDS telecomunication engine and for parts of the EGSE
  • Nanosatellite launched in 2019

DESSIS

  • Assembly of electronics boards for DLR Earth Sensing Imaging Spectrometer
  • From 2018 experiment is working on International Space Station

Exomars-2016

  • Assembly of electronics boards for Cassis camera for Exomars-2016 orbiter
  • Project done together with Space Research Center
  • Mission launched in 2016
  • Cassis camera is delivering pictures

Second – large clean-room build

  • 80 m2 clean room designed for electronics production build ISO-8
  • Equipped with automatic assembly line and control and test equipment
2015

MET-OP-SG

  • Design and production of parts
    of EGSE for MET-OP-SG constellation
  • The same products where then implemented in NEOSAT project
  • Cooperation with Airbus

MAIT-QUAL

  • Certification of production processes for PROBA-3 mission
  • Certification includes FPGA mounting

SAT-AIS-PL

  • Phase A of the AIS satellite
  • Creotech was leading a consortium composed of polish compainies and scientific institutes
  • Gaining experience in missions development and planning
  • Huge input to HyperSat programm

NEOSTEL-1

  • Design of the cameras for NEOSTEL observatory
  • Designing phase finished in 2017
2016

NEOSTEL-2

  • Production of the cameras for NEOSTEL observatory
  • Due to lack of mechanical equipment in 2019 mechanical part passed to OHB Italy with electronics part staying in Creotech

White Rabbit study

  • Finalizing white rabbit time synchronization system for ESA
  • Outcome of the study allow us to start projects with two telecom operators in Poland to provide them with WR system

ICEYE

  • Starting cooperation with ICEYE
    start-up
  • Taking part in the CDR
  • Delivering electronics, harness, MLI for ICEYE-1 satellite
  • On orbit since January 2018

EO Cloud

  • Prototype of the cloud storage system for Copernicus programm
  • Outside of the main scope of Creotech activities
  • Allow to gain an experience in finall data user segment
2017

Third – large clean-room build

  • 60 m2 clean room designed for integration of microsatellites
  • Equipped with large transport doors and additional infrastructure

HyperSat

  • Microsatellite platform in a range of masses 10-60 kg
  • Based on COTs elements but prepared according to ECSS tuned standards
  • Project will be finished at TRL7 in march 2021
  • CDR planned for October

CREODIAS

  • Continuation of EO Cloud project
  • Storage for the Copernicus data
  • Allow to gain an experience in finall data user segment

PressFit

  • Certification of production of electronics for space with the PressFit connectors
  • Project done with help from Thales Alenia Space
  • Aim is to fit into Thales delivery chain of electronics

MAIT-QUAL-2

  • Certification of production processes for JUICE mission
  • Certification includes FPGA mounting
  • Certification includes automatic production line
2018

ICEYE

  • Signing an agreement on production of electronics for SAR microsatellite constellation
  • Up to know 5 sets of electronics produced for 5 satellites on orbit
  • Production of next sets is on-going

BFPaas

  • Start of the BFPaas project, we provide a tool to plan paths for UAVs using satellite data
  • Usage of CREODIAS infrastracture
  • Cooperation Polish Air Naviagtion Service Agency

Lead Free

  • Preparation of technology for electronics production for space based on lead free soldering
  • Together with Tele and Radio Research Institute, Łukasiewicz Network
2019

MAXAR

  • Ageement for cooperation with MAXAR USA company signed
  • Creotech is an official distributor of MAXAR high resolution data for Polish market

OpenCosmos

  • Cooperation with OpenCosmos NewSpace company on their nanosatelite bus
  • Delivery of communication software, production services, support

CORONA project

  • Preparation of cameras for SST observation
  • Based on experience gained with NEOSTEL
  • End of the project – 2023

DSTAR project

  • Start of the DSTAR project – Air Force Institute of Technology
  • Aim of the project is ranging laser system for microsatellites
  • Role of Creotech – preparation of supercomputer for HyperSat based on Jetson module

POLON project

  • Start of the POLON project – together with Institute of Aviation

First business developers abroad

Expansion of premises

HyperNanoWeld

WIRAN

  • Telecomunication antenas develope under ESA contracts will be tested in space on EagleEye satellite

EAGLEEYE project

  • Continuation of HyperSat project
  • Microsatellite platform will be moved from TRL7 to TRL9
  • Test of the 5HU configuration with Earth Observation instruments
  • Tests in space in 2023

Projekt Renesans, realizowany przez Creotech Instruments SA. polega na opracowaniu uniwersalnej platformy satelitarnej HyperSat, służącej do realizacji misji kosmicznych w krótkim czasie i przy niskich kosztach, w szczególności do budowy konstelacji satelitarnych. Ta modułowa platforma opracowywana jest w ramach projektu Europejskiego Funduszu Rozwoju Regionalnego, przy wsparciu Programu Operacyjnego Inteligentny Rozwój 2014-2020. Głównymi zaletami platformy będzie jej modularność i powtarzalność. Klienci będą mogli dowolnie konfigurować satelitę korzystając z gotowych modułów. Creotech Instruments jest jedyną firmą w Polsce dysponującą procesami technologicznymi i linią produkcyjną, certyfikowanymi do produkcji elektroniki przeznaczonej do zastosowań w przestrzeni kosmicznej przez Europejską Agencję Kosmiczną ESA.
